How do I join in?
The h!project is about breaking down barriers.
By providing individuals with a unified symbol the h!project will dissolve these barriers and banish fear and embarassment. When you display the h!project symbol you are saying to everyone around you that you choose to be unafraid and want to take part in reality.
Within the join in section of this website you will find various depictions of the h!project symbol. Print them out. Make stickers, badges, keyrings, t-shirts. Display them, however and wherever you want. But remember, by carrying the h!project symbol you are agreeing to abide by the following:
- Any person may initiate a conversation by using the opening line "Hi, my name is _______". If you do not wish to engage in discussion please decline politely.
- If an opening is declined you will not harbour any resentment towards the individual, or allow yourself to experience any feelings of rejection or embarassment. Remember, this is supposed to be fun.
- A conversation may be terminated at any point. No regrets, no ill-feeling. Please respect each other.
- The h!project is NOT a dating agency. It is about interacting with our fellow man, or woman, and experiencing the joys of conversation.
- The h!project is NOT a religion. We are not attempting to recruit or alter another persons beliefs. Opinions, however, are open for discussion. But try not to turn a pleasant conversation into a raging argument.
- No matter what you see, hear or read there isn't a bogeyman waiting around every corner and not every youth in a hoodie is out to steal your wallet. But be aware, use your common sense. Never exchange personal details or accompany individuals to their homes or secluded places.
